Innovation grant for side slope compensation

The Ministry of Economics of Rhineland-Palatinate is supporting us in the development of a system for mechanical weed removal based on an under-row device with a grant of 320,000 euros.

As part of the approved innovation project, the development of a control loop-based system with sensor-based detection of the slope angle is being planned in order to achieve intelligent adaptation of the cultivation tool of the agricultural machine used. For this purpose, a slope sensor is to be integrated on an under-row care tool. Through the use of assistance systems and sensors, the weed removal process can thus be made more efficient as well as safer in the future, because the manual adjustment that has been carried out in advance up to now would no longer be necessary.

This significant improvement offers the opportunity to increase the functionality of the agricultural machine.

For the handover of the funding notice, Minister of Economic Affairs Daniela Schmitt visited our company and was given a tour of the new plant in Wittlich-Wengerohr by Managing Director Patrick Clemens.
