 FLEXITREE

FLEXITREE, a design also known as ‘BAUM’ or ‘The Bonner’ for mechanical crop load regulation and based on the development by Dr. Damerow and Dr. Blanke and protected by international patent, is now CLEMENS GmbH & Co. KG in Germany.

CLEMENS FLEXITREE

WORKING PRINCIPLE AND INTENTION!

In Heavy flowering fruit trees, FLEXITREE can remove excessive undesired flowers in pome and stone tree using several rotors with elastic strings. This application reduces the use of chemicals designated as (phyto-) hormones. The objective is to remove individual flowers of the flower cluster in order to improve fruit quality (fruit size, fruit color an sugar content). FLEXITREE offers a wide variety of options to adjust the device and its rotors to different tree heights and shapes and is particularly suited for tall and slender spindles, central leader and fruit wall.

DESIGN:

The concept of FLEXITREE is based on a modular design. The standard version comes with three horizontal rotors with variable rotor speed, angle and height. FLEXITREE is mounted on the CLEMENS lift pole ‘ATLAS’ with a lateral inclination of 26° /18°. The front mounting offers the advantage for the tractor driver to observe the performance during the thinning motion.

CLEMENS FLEXITREE

ADJUSTMENTS:

The standard version offers manual adjustment of the device to the depth of the tree canopy, with mechanical width adjustment (optional hydraulic). The rotors with their elastic strings can be individually adjusted in height and in angles towards the tree row and ground. Any incidence or risk of fireblight prohibits the use of FLEXITREE.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

Weight: 98 kg Stroke: 950 mm
Weight of hydraulic angle adjustment: 60 kg Angle adjustment: 44 °

Option: hydraulic lateral adjustment 400 mm
